Over the years, Louis and Jeannine Saurette have
extended a helping hand in their community in quiet yet meaningful ways.
Supporters of the Movement Centre of Manitoba since 2009, Louis and Jeannine
have helped people with neurological disabilities live fully and with purpose.
By recently establishing the Louis and Jeannine Saurette Endowment Fund, they
have created a family legacy that will benefit the disability community through
the work of the Movement Centre for generations to come.
The Saurettes’ generosity came full circle when Louis
experienced firsthand the unique care provided by the Movement Centre following
a stroke which affected his speech. Louis dubbed himself a “remote client” as
the team provided unique and individualized rehabilitation to help him recover
his speech including “take-home” exercises via phone appointments. Louis was
grateful to experience – as a donor and a client – the priceless value provided
to community by the Movement Centre. He delighted in the legacy of the Louis
and Jeannine Saurette Endowment Fund because you never know who will need its
support and when.
