The McQueens approached life with a spirit of generosity. Don was a member of the St. Boniface-Norwood/St. Vital Kinsmen and a graduate of the University of Manitoba Chartered Accountants program. In 1986 Don started his own business as an investment counsellor - D.V. McQueen Ltd. Shirley (nee Gray) was a warm, engaging woman, with a kind heart for vulnerable people and animals. Don and Shirley loved farm life and moved to La Salle, Manitoba where they lived for 28 years. Don passed away in 2006 and Shirley in March 2023.
For Shirley and Don McQueen, supporting a variety of charities was important. They established this fund in December 2000.
Your gift will be pooled and invested with a portion of the generated income distributed as grants to local registered charities in our community. As the original gift remains invested, your contribution will continue to benefit the people of Winnipeg in perpetuity.
