This fund was established to honour the memory and
legacy of Dr. Dick Smith. As one of the first doctors in the city to treat
HIV/AIDS patients, Dr. Dick Smith advocated for the provision of safe,
respectful, inclusive, holistic, patient-centred care.
Gifts to the fund will be directed to Our Own Health Centre to support the health and well-being of sexual minorities. Although open to all, Our Own Health Centre is a safe and welcoming health centre for sexual minorities, or what is commonly referred to as the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
Your gift to this fund will be pooled and invested with the generated income distributed as grants to Our Own Health Centre. As the original gift remains invested, your contribution will continue to benefit our community in perpetuity.
