The Dr. David Crawford Memorial Fund was established to honour the life and legacy of Dr. David Crawford, a compassionate physician and devoted father who grew up in Winnipeg's North End.
This fund aims to support future generations in health care and community leadership by providing educational opportunities to students at St. John's High School, École Luxton School, University of Manitoba Max Rady College of Medicine, and more. In addition, the fund aims to support advancements in prostate cancer research at CancerCare Manitoba, inspired by the extra years his family was blessed to share with him thanks to a drug trial.
Through these initiatives, Dr. Crawford’s legacy will continue to guide and empower those who follow in his footsteps, fostering opportunities for growth, learning, and innovation in health, education, and community service.
Gifts to the fund will be held until Dr. David Crawford's family determines whether the fund will be endowed at The Winnipeg Foundation to offer permanent community support, or flow directly to organizations in our community.
