Minnedosa District Museum and Heritage Village has partnered with Minnedosa and District Foundation to established this permanently endowed Manitoba Heritage Trust Fund to support their work.
The Manitoba government established the Manitoba Heritage Trust Endowment (MHTE) Fund to stretch gifts to Heritage Trust Funds. Each gift has the potential to be stretched by up to 50 per cent.
Minnedosa District Museum and Heritage Village is a collection of thousands of donated artifacts housed throughout ten restored buildings. Some of the buildings that make up the Heritage Village include an 1880s log home, a country church, a one-room school house, a pioneer farm home and the Minnedosa Agricultural Society Octagon Display Building.
The Winnipeg Foundation will generate the tax receipts for all gift directed to this fund under the Manitoba Heritage Trust Program. Gifts to this fund are invested in perpetuity and the annual income generated for grantmaking is distributed to Minnedosa District Museum and Heritage Village to be used at their discretion.
