This fund was established by the Honourable W. Scott
Wright and Sonya Wright to support community causes of significance to them.
Scott passed away in February 2024. Scott was socially and culturally
progressive, with an unwavering belief that community engagement and
contributions could help make the world a better place. He demonstrated this
through his devotion to a wide array of causes, including affordable housing in
Winnipeg, and organizations, such as Westminster United Church, YMCA, and
Winnipeg Chinese Cultural Centre. Scott's friends, colleagues and family knew
him to be genuine, trustworthy, tolerant, and above all generous.
Your gift will be pooled and invested with the
generated income distributed annually to local charities. As the original gift
remains invested, your contribution will continue to benefit the people of
Winnipeg in perpetuity.
