The Richard L. Frost Scholarship on the History of Philanthropy celebrates two of the strongest passions of Rick Frost; history and the charitable sector. As CEO of The Winnipeg Foundation - Canada’s first community Foundation - for almost a quarter century, Rick lived its vision of creating a Winnipeg where community life flourishes for all. This Award supports a graduate History student conducting research on how the wellbeing of local communities or Canadian society in general has been advanced by generous individuals, specific charitable agencies or social movements within the broadly defined voluntary sector.
