The Lessard/Nichols Scholarship Fund was created in memory of the Winnipeg Fire Department’s Captain Harold Lessard and Captain Tom Nichols. Both captains died in the line of duty fighting a house fire in St. Boniface in 2007. To honour the captains the fund will support an award for graduates from fire/paramedic training that have demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to helping those in need.
All gifts to this fund will be pooled and invested with the generated income distributed as scholarships. As the original gift remains invested, your contribution will continue to benefit scholarship recipients in perpetuity.
