Brandon Museum Inc. (Daly House Museum) has partnered with Brandon Area Community Foundation to established this permanently endowed Manitoba Heritage Trust Fund to support their work.
The Manitoba government established the Manitoba Heritage Trust Endowment (MHTE) Fund to stretch gifts to Heritage Trust Funds. Each gift has the potential to be stretched by up to 50 per cent.
Daly House Museum was once the home of Thomas Mayne Daly II, Brandon’s first lawyer and mayor. Now it is home to the community’s memories and continues to collect and preserve objects and historical records that represent the history and culture of the City of Brandon and Western Manitoba.
The Winnipeg Foundation will generate the tax receipts for all gifts directed to this fund under the Manitoba Heritage Trust Program. Gifts to this fund are invested in perpetuity and the annual income generated for grant making is distributed to Brandon Museum Inc. (Daly House Museum) to be used at their discretion.
